Would you like to learn to Paint and Draw but don’t know where to begin? This course is designed to give you the skills and the confidence to start painting and to improve.

Tutor Joyce Duffy, believes that learning should be fun, and that people learn best in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere. On this course you will learn the basic fundamentals of art and be encouraged to develop your creative self-expression through simple exercises and techniques.

Working primarily from observation, the principles of Drawing, Colour, Tone, Line and Composition will be explored. The course will start with Acrylics but other mediums will be introduced as the course progresses.

By the end of the course you will have completed at least one finished painting, even if you’ve never painted before. More importantly you will have a solid foundation and the ability and confidence to continue painting on your own.
