Financial Services and Business Course - Dublin

At BFEI, located in Blackrock village, Co.Dublin we offer a one year QQ1 Level 5 Financial Services and Business Course.

Are you interested in a career in the expanding field of Financial Services? Would you like to know more about investment opportunities and how the stock market works? Ireland is fast becoming the leading European hub for financial services.

This course provides a solid grounding in the fundamentals of business with a particular focus on the financial services sector. It is the ideal preparation for a wide variety of emerging career opportunities ranging from banking, insurance to capital markets and investment management. It is anticipated that this sector will experience strong growth in employment opportunities due to changing market conditions such as Brexit.

Assessment and certification

You will be awarded a QQI Level 5 Certificate in Business Studies (5M2102).

Assessment is based on a combination of assignments and exams.

Entry Requirements

  • Leaving Certificate/LCA

You must have achieved 5 passes OR 5 O6/H7s OR a combination of 5 O6/H7s OR have achieved the LCA with a Merit profile.

  • Others including Mature Students

If you are a mature student (aged 21 or over) and do not hold the Leaving Certificate, then you are welcome to apply. Each application will be assessed individually.

Advisory Meeting

Applicants will have an advisory meeting to offer guidance and to ensure course suitability. Places will be offered, on a first come basis, following the outcome of the personal Advisory Meeting, subject to the applicant meeting the entry requirements of the course. Applicants will also be advised on course costs and registration details.

Fees

At course commencement, students are required to pay for books, exams, €200 PLC Government Levy (unless exempt), a Student Services charge and where applicable professional body registration fees.  There are no tuition fees for EU students
