Testimonial

I decided I wanted to get into the property industry, so I registered on the BFEI Auctioneering Course. This course helped me learn the basic principles of the property industry in order to get a job. As part of the course, we had to secure work experience. I subsequently got part-time job offers from the two companies where I did my work experience. This allowed me to get my foot in the door and start working. Once I finished the course, I got offered a full-time role with one of those companies, and this helped me progress my studies to get the licence required to become a property service provider. I was offered places in two degree courses based on my results in BFEI and my work experience. I accepted a place in the part-time BSc in Property Economics in DIT which is run by the Society of Chartered Surveyors Ireland (SCSI). The SCSI course allows you to exit after year two with the Level 6 Certificate needed to get a licence. I continued my studies, and am currently in 4th year. I have started the Assessment of Professional Competence program and once I finish it, I can move abroad as my Charter Surveyor qualification is recognised worldwide. The BFEI course was my gateway into the property industry and allowed me to further my studies and most importantly my career. I would highly recommend this course, as it allows you get a foot in the door to become a property professional.
