Here is your opportunity to learn how to track down your ancestors. You have always wanted to do it, so why not enrol in our part-time course in genealogy delivered by Dr James Ryan.

We will provide a structure for your research; introduce you to the varied range of sources available; and show you how to use them. The sources include:

· Birth, Marriage, and Death Records

· Census records

· Land Records (both owners and tenants)

· Wills and court records

· Navigating Family and Place-name variations

· Other freely available records like newspapers, occupational records etc

Dr. James G Ryan is a writer, lecturer and publisher in Irish genealogy. His publications include “Irish Records: sources for Irish family and local history” Ancestry Inc. (1988); Tracing your Dublin Ancestors (Flyleaf Press 2009); Irish Church Records (Flyleaf 2001); Sources for Irish Family History (Flyleaf Press 2021). He has spoken at many international genealogy conferences; writes a regular article for ‘Irish Roots’ and has contributed articles to many local and national family history journals.
