Film Studies: Explore the World of Film Analysis

This is the course for you. Whether you're a seasoned film lover or just beginning to explore the world of cinema, this course will provide you with critical tools to analyse and appreciate films!
This evening course will run for 10 weeks and cover topics such as stardom, film sound and Italian cinema. It will involve lively discussion with presentations and film clips.
Peter Larkin is an independent film critic and tutor, he has written on Acting, British Cinema and the director as auteur.
What You’ll Learn
Analyse films through camerawork, editing and performance. Understand cinema’s socio-political, artistic and commercial impacts. Develop critical tools to appreciate film as a cultural and imaginative medium.
