Enrolment Policy – Evening Courses at BFEI

All applications for evening courses at BFEI must be made online. Places are offered on a first-come, first-served basis, so we strongly recommend booking early to avoid disappointment.

How to Book a Course

Using a laptop or PC is often easiest. Follow these steps to secure your place:

Find the course you are interested in and click on the ‘Enrol now’ button

On the next page, click ‘All Courses’

Locate your desired course and click ‘Book Now’

Complete the payment process carefully to secure your place

Note: Your bank may send you a verification text, so please have your phone nearby.

Once your booking and payment have been successfully completed, your place on the course is confirmed. You will receive an electronic receipt, which you can save or print for your records.

If the course is already full, you will be offered a place on the waiting list and notified if a spot becomes available.

Payment Options

Payment is completed online using a Visa/Mastercard credit or debit card in a secure environment.
If you do not have access to online banking, cheques can be made payable to DDLETB and sent by post. Please contact us in advance for instructions.

Eligibility

Discount Scheme

A 10% tuition discount (maximum €25) may apply to:

Senior citizens (proof of age required)

Jobseekers (letter from Department of Social Protection required)

Full-time students in DDLETB colleges

QQI-accredited course fees include a €20 assessment charge, which is not subject to discount. Additional material or exam fees must be paid in full.

Why Do We Ask for Your Contact Details?

When enrolling on a course, you will be asked to provide your contact details. These details are kept strictly within the BFEI Adult Education programme and are not shared with third parties.

Your address is used to help validate your payment details and to understand where our learners are coming from, which supports our course promotion efforts.

Your mobile number allows us to contact you directly if a class is cancelled or rescheduled (e.g. due to tutor illness or adverse weather conditions).

Your email address is used to send you an automatic payment receipt and may also be used by tutors to share relevant course information, such as details about required course materials or equipment.

Occasionally, we may also send text reminders when enrolment for a new term opens.

Refund Policy
All our courses are non-refundable, unless there are insufficient numbers for the class to form.  A small number of classes do not form each term, and in such cases, students who have enrolled will be notified and can either swap to another class or be offered a full refund.  There is no discount for those who cannot attend all evenings of the course.

General Information and Terms

• The minimum age to enrol in evening courses at BFEI is 16 years.
• All students must be enrolled before attending any class.
• Class times and durations are subject to change.
• Courses will only proceed if a minimum of 8 participants enrol. We will contact you only if a course does not go ahead.
• It is recommended that you do not purchase course materials until your course has been confirmed.
• Participants in physical exercise or fitness classes should consider seeking medical advice before commencing.
• Smoking is strictly prohibited anywhere on BFEI premises or grounds.
• All parking is on-street pay parking, in effect until 7:00pm. Parking is limited, so arriving early is advisable.
• BFEI cannot accept responsibility for any loss, damage, or injury to persons or property while on the premises or grounds.
